To create Australia’s leading innovative wet wipes company and remove single-use plastic, one wipe at a time in peoples’ homes and across the industry.

Two dads from Adelaide, Phil Scardigno and Corey White, with 50+ years of business entrepreneurship between them, created The Hygiene Co. after discovering the phenomenal volumes of plastic going to landfill from imported single-use plastic wipes.

They decided it was time for a change and set up the first business of its kind to develop and manufacture plastic-free wipes in Australia. With in-house development labs and an automated production facility, The Hygiene Co. manufactures wipes from plant-based fibres, for consumers through to medical TGA grades.

The CleanLIFE brand is Australia’s only specialist wet wipe offer, providing solutions across multiple consumer sectors for everyday use around the home and workplace.

Wet wipes are a problem 30 times larger than plastic straws. As in the
UK with the ban on plastic wipes, it is expected Australia will follow this
path.

Wipes consist of 75% water – imports ship containers of water to get
wipes here, creating SHIP loads of carbon along their journey.
Our Australian-made wipes are >53% less carbon intensive than imports.

We are the first company in the world certified to AS/NZS5328 Flushable Products. Our flushable wipes will extend across cleaning, baby and personal wipe products. A game changer to flush away tonnes of waste issues.
